TCI Engineering’s 1960-1967 Ford Fairlane Pro Touring IFS was designed to increase performance, vehicle control, drivability, handling capabilities, all while adding valuable space to the engine compartment. TCI Engineers designed this IFS around our custom spindle with bolt on steering arms. These spindles allow us to control every aspect of suspension geometry without the drawbacks of the more popularly used traditional Mustang II spindles. These custom spindles combined with our crossmember and custom control arms provide street hugging performance and aggressive stance. Our custom bolt on steering arms provide more turning radius, proper Ackerman and virtually no measurable bump steer through full range of motion. A quick ratio Fox Body rack & pinion provides excellent feedback whether on the street or track.
We strengthen the stock frame rails of your 1960-1967 Ford Fairlane by fully encapsulating them with boxing plates. By placing the shock load onto the frame instead of the shock tower this modification is absolutely necessary for long lasting performance. The boxing plates locate off of existing holes on the frame, while our crossmember and upper shock mounts locate off the boxing plates. This takes the guess work out of installing and welding the new parts in place. Boxing plates include rosette weld slots to maximize strength. The shock tower filler panels add strength back to the frame and clean up the overall look of the engine compartment as well. Replacement inner fender panels reuse many of the factory shock tower holes, making panel alignment and installation easy. We raised the crossmember up against the bottom of the frame rails as far as possible to increase ground clearance and maximize vehicle drop.
