2016 would mark the first year of Autocross at the Street Rod Nationals. The location of the course was a bit inconvenient for spectators yet the stands were full all 3 days of action. TCI Engineering sponsored the autocross which is put on by our friends at American StreetCar Promotions.
Jimmy Matthews brought out his ’72 Nova and put in nearly 70 laps.
Ryan Buck also brought his Nova to the party.
On the final day of competition there was a Vendor Shootout. There were a dozen cars vying for 5 qualified spots. Ryan squeeked his way into the field when Kyle Tucker from DSE kicked a cone suffering a 2 second penalty. Ryan proved that he may not have been the quickest but he was definitely consistent. Brit Alcroft from Ridetech driving the 48hr Camaro won the shootout and Ryan came in a few hundreths behind in 2nd.
Todd Stansberry has hauled this stunning ’65 Mustang all over the States showing and autocrossing it along the way.
